Tryptic Soy Agar (TSA) slants are general purpose microbiological media prepared in screw cap tubes for the cultivation, maintenance, and transport of a wide variety of microorganisms. TSA supports the growth of many aerobic and facultative anaerobic bacteria and fungi, making it suitable for routine laboratory culture work. The agar is solidified at an angle within each tube to create an increased surface area that promotes colony development and facilitates long term culture storage. Tubes are securely capped to prevent contamination and maintain sterility during handling or transport. Each tube contains approximately 10 mL of medium and is quality tested for performance and sterility. Packaged sterile and ready to use for routine microbiology laboratory applications.
