Tryptic Soy Agar (TSA) with Lecithin and Polysorbate 80 is formulated to meet USP requirements for environmental monitoring and microbial surface testing in cleanrooms and controlled environments. TSA is a nutrient rich general purpose medium that supports the growth of a wide range of aerobic and facultative anaerobic microorganisms, including bacteria and fungi commonly found in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device manufacturing facilities. Lecithin neutralizes quaternary ammonium compounds while Polysorbate 80 neutralizes phenolic disinfectants, allowing more accurate recovery of viable microorganisms from sanitized surfaces. This formulation is widely used in environmental monitoring programs, sterility assurance testing, and GMP regulated laboratories. Plates are sterile, pre poured, and ready for laboratory use.
