Tryptic Soy Agar, Modified (TSA II) is specifically formulated for the addition of animal blood. It is used for the recovery and cultivation of fastidious microorganisms and for determining hemolytic reactions of bacteria. Different animal blood additions provide different hemolytic reactions, depending on the bacterium species. Whether you need a general-purpose, nonselective media or you need added blood to facilitate a more fasitdious bacterial lawn for the detection of hemolytic reactions, we have several products to choose from. MOLTOX does not provide microorganisms for testing. Some media are temperature sensitive and may have specific temperature and storage requirements for shipping/delivery.
