Also known as TSI, Triple Sugar Iron Agar is used for the differentiation of gram-negative enteric bacilli via carbohydrate fermentation and the production of hydrogen sulfide. With the addition of sucrose, this medium can detect sucrose-fermenting bacilli as well as lactose and/or dextrose fermenters. Each lot of media from MOLTOX is tested for sterility, where applicable, and its ability to support the growth of the appropriate microorganism. All media are accompanied by GLP-compliant formulation and Quality Control certificate.
