These "Male Nuts" are used to connect polymeric tubing in the low pressures zones of HPLC systems and other low pressure, fluidic uses. Tubing must NOT be flanged (flangeless) and Ferrules are required to work properly which are sold separately. Delrin™ (Polyoxymethylene) material is an engineering thermoplastic used in precision parts requiring high stiffness, low friction, and excellent dimensional stability. It is excellent for use with HPLC solvents but is sensitive to both chlorine and acid hydrolysis.
