The Sumitomo Diamond Turning Insert DNMX 52GP51 is a single-sided diamond turning insert for precision machining of non-ferrous metals and non-metallic materials. It features a rhombic shape with a 0.5mm corner radius and is made of polycrystalline diamond brazed to a tungsten carbide substrate. The insert has a thickness of 2.4mm and is designed for high speed machining with depths of cut up to 0.15mm. It enables the production of precision optical surfaces with surface finishes under 10nm Ra. The insert should be used with Sumitomo's DNMX tool holders.
