Description

An in vitro rapid lateral flow test intended for the qualitative detection of Streptococcus pneumoniae and Legionella pneumophila antigens in urine specimens from patients with symptoms of pneumonia.

  • The assay is further intended to aid in the diagnosis of S. pneumoniae infections by detection of S. pneumoniae antigen in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF).

  • Detects Legionellaserogroups 1, 3, 6, 8, 10, and 12

Result Indicators

  • The control line appears at top of the strip.
  • A positive result for pneumophila will produce a blue line in the middle of the strip.
  • A positive result for S. pneumoniae will produce a pink/red line at the bottom of the strip.
