UT-11 is a potent, blood-brain barrier-permeable inhibitor of microsomal prostaglandin E synthase-1 (mPGES-1). It effectively inhibits PGE2 production in human and murine cells. Studies show UT-11 can dampen neuroinflammation by blunting the upregulation of mPGES-1 and other inflammatory genes in an LPS-induced inflammation mouse model.
