Our Vannas spring scissors are specialized spring scissors designed for precision cutting and often used by scientific researchers. They are named after the Swedish scientist Gunnar Vannas who invented them in the 1940s. Compared with other spring scissors, Vannas spring scissors are distinguished by their delicate, thin, sharp tips. The slender, pointed tips allows for precise cutting with minimal damage to surrounding tissues. Like all spring scissors, they are perfect for ambidextrous use and are often preferred by left-handed people. Manufactured with surgical grade stainless steel, these scissors are durable and resistant to corrosion. Our titanium scissors are lightweight and non-magnetic. These Vannas have a fine 500µm tip and 8mm blades, making them suitable for surgery on small animals or researchers working with delicate tissues. They are autoclavable. Like all fine surgical instruments, these Vannas surgical scissors should be cleaned promptly after every use.
