The Instech VABR1B/25 is a single-channel magnetic Vascular Access Button™ for rats. This transcutaneous port provides quick, aseptic access to catheters for bolus dosing or continuous sampling. The 25-gauge (25ga) stainless steel connector is optimized for 2Fr polyurethane catheters, commonly used in jugular or femoral vein access. Its magnetic coupling allows for instant, low-stress tether attachment without handling the animal. The design features a 1.0 in (2.5 cm) polyester felt disk for subcutaneous anchoring and tissue ingrowth. By maintaining a closed system, it significantly improves catheter patency and allows for safe group housing when used with a protective aluminum cap.
