At toxic doses, increases the number and decreases the affinity of DHP receptors in rat cortex. Cell cycle inhibitor at the M phase. Inhibits calmodulin and PKC activity. Has apoptotic effects on human T lymphocytes. Stimulates the growth of seedling roots of buckwheat.
