The NanoSoft foam Vitrification Dewar and Metal Parts are designed for cryo-EM sample preparation systems. They are compatible with the Vitrobot and are interchangeable with FEI parts, allowing for a flexible setup where NanoSoft's parts can be used with an FEI dewar and vice versa. The foam dewar, developed in collaboration with Spearlab, provides a robust and easy-to-acquire option for sample preparation. Its design creates an improved interface, allowing the Igloo (sold separately) to form a better seal on the dewar, which contains cold nitrogen gas. This allows for safer grid transfer to the grid box. The Grid Box Ring is slightly thicker than the Vitrobot version, ensuring it remains in contact with liquid nitrogen longer if the level gets low. The dimensions of the ethane cup and spider mimic those of the Vitrobot. This vitrification dewar with metal parts consists of a Vitrification Dewar, Foam Ring, Spider, Grid Box Ring, and Ethane Cup.
