Inhibits cancer cell proliferation, resulting in cell cycle arrest, senescence and necrosis or apoptosis. Inhibits the self-renewal and tumor-initiating capacity of cancer stem cells, blocking tumor initiation after implantation of cancer stem cells in mice.
