Xylazine hydrochloride, White Powder

  • It has been used together to produce rapid and reversible anesthesia in experimental animals.
  • Xylazine elicited a diuretic response in ketamine-anesthesized animals, probably through activation of complex peripheral and CNS α2-adrenergic receptor systems.
  • It is an alpha agonist with sedative, analgesic and muscle relaxant properties.
