HIMEDIA Yeast Nitrogen Base, M139, Microbiology Culture Media, Dehydrated Culture Media, Specialty Medium, Yeast Identification, Carbon Assimilation, Powder, 500 g
Supplier: HIMEDIA M139500G
Yeast Nitrogen Base is the defined medium of choice for classifying yeasts by their ability to assimilate individual carbon compounds. It supplies a complete background of nitrogen, vitamins, trace elements and mineral salts (ammonium sulphate, amino acids, biotin, calcium pantothenate, inositol, niacin, pyridoxine, riboflavin and thiamine) so the only variable is the carbon source added by the analyst. This makes it a standard tool in yeast taxonomy, auxanographic assimilation studies and identification of clinically and industrially important yeasts. Dehydrated powder, store in a cool dry place. Packaged as 500 g.
