It significantly and selectively suppresses the production of IL-1β, but not TNF-α. This compound can cross the blood-brain barrier (BBB) to reach the central nervous system (CNS) and has demonstrated anti-inflammatory activity. YQ128 is also a click chemistry reagent, featuring an Alkyne group capable of undergoing copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) with azide-containing molecules.
