Spectrum™ Chemical Zinc Chloride, 0.1 M Solution is a colorless liquid that is mildly corrosive to metals and highly soluble in water. In the laboratory for chemical synthesis, it is used for its properties as a middle strength Lewis acid. It is also used by forensic laboratories for enhanced finger print detection.
