The Malin Company Lockwire is a 0.032 inch diameter stainless steel lockwire used to prevent loosening of threaded fasteners. It comes in a 225 foot roll and is made in the USA. The lockwire creates an inexpensive locking device when installed in a crisscross pattern through bolt heads or nuts after torquing. It features excellent corrosion resistance and has aerospace, military, industrial, and motorsports applications. The lockwire meets QQ-W-406 and AMS-W-6845 specifications.

The lockwire works by exerting a constant tension against the threaded fastener.
