SuperNuova digital stirers with Stir Trac offers improved slow speed stirring, consisting speed control and stronger magnetic coupling from 50 rpm up to 1200 rpm. The seamlesss reflective white ceramic top enhances sample visibility and the rugged low-profile cast aluminum body provides stability and durability. The easy-to-read digital displays indicate rpm for stirring models, adjustable in 1 rpm increments. The user programmable preset buttons allow for up to four often-used stirring speeds to be recalled at the touch of a single button. Set points go up slowly when the knob is rotated slowly, faster as the knob is rotated faster. The knob then is locked out to avoid accidental changes. All models supplied with 2" x 3/8" dia TFE-coated stir bar, detachable cord and retention racket that prevents cord from accidentally removed.

EMS hotplates, stirrers and hotplate-stirrers feature an exceptionally durable, chemical resistant, white ceramic work surface. Their space-efficient design (7 x 10.5" footprint), makes them ideal for use on crowded benchtops and inside bio-hoods.
Advanced microprocessor controls allow quick, precise adjustment of speed and temperature. The large, backlit LCD display provides constant visualization of the speed and temperature while a safety LED indicates when the top plate is above 50 degree C. In addition, an optional probe is available for applications that require precise temperature contol. When connected, the probe provides direct feedback to the microprocessor, which continuously adjusts and maintains the selected temperature in the sample within ± 0.5 degree C.

These hot plates are ideal for cold rooms and can be used at 0-27°C with 80% relative humidity, in a non-condensing environment. Stir Trac technology offers improved slow speed stirring, consistent speed control and stronger magnetic coupling from 50 rpm to 1200 rpm. The integral ring stand holder accepts 1.3cm diameter support rod. A single knob design controls heating/stirring and goes up slowly when rotated slowly and faster when rotated faster. Adjustable 1 °C and 1 rpm increments. The RS232 port enables output of time count, temp set points, top surface/remote probe temp, stirring set point and actual speed to a printer or computer. "The CDC Biofilm Reactor® consists of eight (8) polypropylene coupon holder rods suspended from a UHMW-polyethylene ported lid. Each coupon holder rod can accommodate three (3) 1/2-inch (12.7 mm) diameter coupons, for a total of twenty-four(24) coupons. The lid (with coupon holders and coupons) is mounted in a 1-liter glass vessel with side-arm discharge port. A liquid growth media or biocide is circulated through the vessel while mixing and shear is generated by a magnetic stir bar and vane rotated by a magnetic stir plate.Sampling of the coupons is conducted by aseptically removing individual coupon holder rods with accompanying coupons (3). The coupon holder (or blank) rod is replaced in the lid after sampling to allow the time-course experiment to continue. The coupon removed from the reactor vessel is then used for treatment evaluations, scraped or vortexed to collect the biofilm sample for further study.
