A broad temperature range, to 150ÝC, makes the Digital Dry Baths useful for a variety of applications in molecular biology, histology, clinical, environmental and industrial laboratories. A microprocessor regulates the high wattage heaters in the baths to provide precise, accurate control. The desired temperature is easily set using the arrow keys on the control panel while values are shown on the digital display. No checking of a thermometer and readjusting temperature is necessary. The user calibration feature allows for calibration to in house standards when required. Additionally, there is an RS232 port for recording block temperature activity. Interchangeable aluminum heating blocks provide excellent thermal conductivity and accommodate various test tubes, cups, and plates. Depending on the combination of blocks selected, plastic spacers (36620-67) can be used to fill a half-width recess, ensuring optimal thermal performance. Most blocks come with a separate hole to accept a thermometer. Order a flexi-block to accommodate multiple size tubes, vials, or cuvettes at once. Unskirted PCR plates can be heated in either size flexi-block. Skirted microtiter plates, deep-well plates, and PCR plates can only be incubated in the triple-width version.
