Solid glass high vacuum stopcock with theChemglass improved constant pressure retention device. This retaining system incorporates a glass plug having an extended snelling which accepts a stainless steel spring and clip. The spring keeps constant tension on the plug at all times and is easily removed and attached. Plug is precision ground and hand-lapped with corresponding numbers on the barrel and plug. Each stopcock is supplied complete with a stainless steel spring and clip. Replacement retention kit consists of one spring and clip for the plug size listed.

Valve, Chem-Vac, Hi-Vac, 1-Arm, 0-8mm Bore, Viton O-Ring. CHEM-VAC valve has single sidearm sealed at a 90¿ angle to the barrel. This inexpensive configuration allows for the lower portion of the barrel to be sealed directly to the apparatus being constructed, making for more compact, stronger assemblies. Valve has a TFE plug with three o-rings, the tip o-ring making the primary seal on the precision formed tapered seat. O-rings on the non-rotating shaft form an excellent dynamic seal between the TFE plug and glass barrel. An ultimate vacuum of 10-7 can be realized with the standard three seals. Smooth acting valve permits fine adjustment of the opening. Front ring seal makes a positive closure against a precision-formed heavy glass seal. NOT bakeable. O-rings are NOT replaceable. Reference marks on the stopcock body aid in repetitive setting.
