Clear glass bottles provide for maximum visibility of their contents, while amber glass blocks UV rays and is excellent for light-sensitive materials, while plastic-coated glass contains its contents when broken for enough time to properly dispose.

Bottles are available in specific shapes, like Boston rounds, packers, square, media, and other specialty styles. Bottles may be made from glass (clear or amber), natural or colored plastics, plastic-coated glass, and sometimes metal.
Choose clear glass or natural plastics for maximum visibility and amber-tinted glass and plastic for light-sensitive materials. Most bottles are sold with attached or separate closures, and can be sterilized, clean, or otherwise processed for specific applications.
