"Silica G" is a standard grade, unmodified Silica 60 with a surface area of 500 m2/g, mean pore size of 60A, specific pore volume of 0.75 ml/g, and particle size of 5-50um. The plates contain UV254 fluorescent indicator. This preparative soft layer is bound to a glass support. It has a thickness of 2000um and dimensions of 20x20cm. There are 12 plates per pack.

Alumina Neutral (pH 6-8) analytical, glass backed TLC plates. The coating thickness is 250um and dimensions are 20x20cm. There are 25 plates per pack. Applications include: terpenes, alkaloids, steroids, aliphatic and aromatic compounds. To ensure sufficient adherence an inert organic binder is added to the aqueous suspension for coating. The aluminum oxide layer has a specific surface of about 200 m2/g (BET) and a pore size of about 60A. To activate the aluminum oxide layer, we recommend heating the TLC plates for 10 minutes at 120C.

Alumina Basic for TLC has a pH of about 9, particle distribution of 5-25um, and a quantity of 1kg. When combined with a binding agent, this alumina can be used for the making of analytical TLC plates. It can also be used in a packed column format for extra high resolution.
