Resolv-Rf™ Silica Hard Layer (HL) TLC Plates are made with standard grade Silica 60, which has a surface area of 500 m2/g, mean pore size of 60A, specific pore volume of 0.75 ml/g, and particle size of 5-17um. The TLC plates contain UV254 fluorescent indicator. This analytical hard layer is bound to a glass support. It has a thickness of 250um and dimensions of 5x10cm. There are 50 plates per pack. Resolv-Rf™ TLC Plates are suitable for all common separations. The layer has a hardness that is abrasion resistant and can be easily labeled with a lead pencil for clear identification. The dense coating yields narrow bands for a high separation efficiency. Applications include: drug synthesis compounds, identity of drugs, food and environmental samples, quality control testing of pharmaceuticals, etc. Made in the U.S.A.

Miles Scientific Silica Gel GHLF 250um 10x20cm scored (25 plates/box)
Plates are 100% H20 resistant and are compatible with aqueous developing solvents. They are less rugged than the plates with organic binder but still provide improved handling and sample application compared to Silica Gel G UNIPLATES and are tough enough to write on with a soft pencil. Hard Layer UNIPLATES with inorganic binder are recommended for all applications including those where visualization occurs involving strong charring procedures or acid sprays or dips. Layers tolerate 100% water. Contains no organic materials, Suitable for aggressive visualization procedures, Standard scoring for 20x20 cm plates yields four 5x20 cm plates, One box of scored 10x20 cm plates yields two hundred 2.5x10 cm plates.

Silica Gel G & GF UNIPLATES are the most widely used silica gel TLC plates. No organic substances are added to these products, thus making them compatible with sulfuric acid charring visualization. These plates are commonly scraped from the glass backing to isolate separated components for other analytical procedures. They are compatible with all organic solvents, however, they are not recommended for use in systems containing greater than 20% water because of the solubility of the gypsum binder in aqueous solutions. (For water tolerance see the GHL & GHLF series of plates.)

"Silica G" is a standard grade, unmodified Silica 60 with a surface area of 500 m2/g, mean pore size of 60A, specific pore volume of 0.75 ml/g, and particle size of 5-17um. The TLC plates contain UV254 fluorescent indicator. This analytical soft layer is bound to an aluminum support. It has a thickness of 200um and dimensions of 20x20cm. There are 25 plates per pack.

Reversed Phase Octadecyl Silanized Silica Gel. These reversed phase TLC plates have been manufacturer to be greater than 50% and less than 100% silanized. Because of this they are hydrophobic, but wettable (unlike CAT# 164077 & 165077 which are 100% silanized).
