Column, Chromatography, 50/30 Socket Joint, 2in ID X 18in E.L., 2mm Stopcock. Absorption chromatography column for rapid preparative separations as described by W.C. Still, M. Kahn and A. Mitra of Columbia University in JOURNAL OF ORGANIC CHEMISTRY 43, 2923 [1978], and covered in U.S. Patent Number 4,293,422 dated October 6, 1981. Moderate resolution can be obtained with this inexpensive to setup and operate column. Column is constructed using MEDIUM WALL tubing. Glass wool (not supplied) is used to support column packing. Can be used with optional CG-1201 flow controller and CG-1200 reservoir. Connections between the column, reservoir and flow control adapter are spherical joints connected with CG-150 Stainless Steel clamps.
