This Cogent RP C18 PE™ Stationary Phase has been a premium value and used by HPLC laboratories for many years.It is an ideal Alternate for your USP Methods that use the L1 Classification and 100% Water as the Mobile Phase for hydrophobic samples. Very rugged, and often called "Polar Embedded", it can be used in typical Reversed Phase or HILIC modes.With a 3µm Particle, this column is more efficient than a 5um column of the same phase and you will experience sharper peaks. However, due to the smaller particle size, there is and increased back pressure. Used for hydrophobic or neutral compounds in Reversed Phase, this Octadecyl Phase is excellent for long chain fatty acids. This column is often chosen as a scouting column for preparative methods.
