New England Biolabs, Inc. TET2 - 2000 units
TET2 (Tet methylcytosine dioxygenase 2) is a demethylase and ten-eleven translocation protein that in the presence of α-ketoglutarate (αKG) and Fe(II)-dependent, oxidizes 5-Methylcytosine (5mC) in three consecutive steps to 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmC), 5-formylcytosine (5fC), and 5-carboxycytosine (5caC), producing succinate (Suc) and CO2 as a byproduct.
- Stored at -20°C
- Specifically oxidizes 5mC, to 5hmC, 5fC, and 5caC in a stepwise manner
- Supplied with reaction buffer, supplement, Fe(II) and DTT
