Biotium One-Step Lumitein™ UV Protein Gel Stain, 1X
One-Step Lumitein™ UV Protein Gel Stain is a ready-to-use luminescent protein gel stain. Gels stained with One-Step Lumitein™ UV can be visualized with a variety of different UV-based fluorescence imaging systems. Convenient staining protocol, requiring only a single 5-30 minute staining step without fixation, destaining is optional. The stain is sensitive, detecting ~ 1-10 ng of protein per band (staining intensity can vary between proteins) and comparable to the Oriole™ Fluorescent Gel Stain(Bio-Rad). Unlike other fluorescent gel stains like Oriole™ or Flamingo™, One-Step Lumitein™ UV is an aqueous-based solution that does not does not contain hazardous methanol or acetic acid for safer handling and ease of disposal, does not cause gel shrinkage, and is significantly lower in cost. Staining is fully compatible with mass spectrometry and Edman-based sequencing.
Biotium One-Step Lumitein™ Protein Gel Stain, 1X
One-Step Lumitein™ Protein Gel Stain is a ready-to-use luminescent red protein gel stain. It is a dramatically improved version of our original Lumitein™ protein gel stain for convenience and safety. One-Step Lumitein™ gel staining requires only a single 5-60 minute staining step without fixation. Destaining is optional. One-Step Lumitein™ can detect as little as approximately 1-10 ng of protein per band depending on the staining method used, although staining intensity varies between proteins. Staining is fully compatible with mass spectrometry and Edman-based sequencing. Staining can be imaged using a UV transilluminator with EtBr or SYBR filter set, a blue light transilluminator, or a laser-based gel scanner.
Biotium NucSpot 470, 1000X in DMSO
NucSpot 470 is a cell membrane-impermeant green fluorescent DNA stain. It is virtually non-fluorescent in the absence of DNA, but fluoresces bright green upon DNA binding. While other green nucleic acid stains like TOTO, TO-PRO, or SYTOX dyes stain both the nucleus and cytoplasm, NucSpot 470 specifically stains the nucleus of fixed and permeabilized cells. It also can be used to selectively stain dead cells in living cultures. NucSpot 470 has an excitation/emission of 460/546 nm and can be imaged using standard settings for FITC. Properties: Ex/Em= 460/546 nm (with DNA); Store at 4°C and protect from light.
