Gel Loading Dye, Blue (6X) is a Bromophenol Blue-based loading dye offering convenient gel loading and sharp bands. You may also be interested in our Gel Loading Dye, Purple (6X) with and without SDS, for sharp bands and no UV shadow. Gel Loading Dye, Blue (6X) is a pre-mixed loading buffer with one tracking dye for agarose and non-denaturing polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. This solution contains SDS, which often results in sharper bands, as some restriction enzymes are known to remain bound to DNA following cleavage. EDTA is also included to chelate magnesium (up to 10 mM) in enzymatic reactions, thereby stopping the reaction. Bromophenol Blue is the standard tracking dye for electrophoresis. It migrates at approximately 300 bp on a standard 1% TBE agarose gel. This product is packaged as 4x1 ml vials.

Col-Aurion is a colloidal gold particle based total protein stain, developed for the sensitive staining of electrophoretically separated protein bands on nitrocellulose or PVDF blotting membranes. Colloidal gold particles accumulate at the site of the protein bands on the membrane, generating an intense dark red staining pattern. The total protein stain assists in assessing immunoblotting results and to evaluate the effectivity of the blotting procedure.
Storage Col-Aurion has a guaranteed shelf life of 18 months from the date of quality control analysis. Store at 4-8 degree C. Do not freeze.

RuBPS is a negatively-charged water-soluble luminescent ruthenium complex that can be efficiently excited by either UV or visible light in the wavelength range from 400-500 nm, with bright red emission centered around 605 nm. Ruthenium complexes such as RuBPS typically have luminescence lifetimes in the micro-second range and a Stokes shift over 100 nm. By using time-resolved luminescence measurement, the combination of long luminescent lifetime and large Stokes shift offers the possibility for extremely sensitive detection that could approach the sensitivity of radioactive detection.
