Microtubes
Single-use containers designed to hold microliter to milliliter quantities of liquid. Products may be sterile/non-sterile, come with or without a variety of caps (screw, tether, snap), and may be suitable for use in microcentrifuges.
High quality standard snap cap microtubes, or microcentrifuge tubes, are essential for the safe processing of low to medium sized sample volume applications in clinical chemistry, biochemistry and molecular biology. Ideal for protein research, mass spectrometry, protein array, sample preparation, microcentrifugation and sample storage, they are available in a variety of colours, including amber and black for light sensitive samples.
The snap cap provides a safe, liquid-tight seal and some flat top caps include a needle insertion spot. Some microtubes are also available with additional safety lock snap caps to minimise sample loss during the centrifugation process and to provide added security when working with samples that are radioactive or which pose a biohazard.

Available as sterile or non-sterile, polypropylene microtubes can also feature low binding properties to reduce protein and nucleic acid loss and hence better sample recovery.

The Eaton Legend Plate 30 mm Panel Mounting Pushbutton is a 30 mm diameter pushbutton switch with a plastic actuator and metal mounting plate. It is rated for 10 amps at 250 volts AC and is available in colors including black, red, green, yellow, blue, and white. The pushbutton has a momentary contact type with silver alloy contacts. It can be panel mounted using the included nut fastener and has an IP40 ingress protection rating. The overall dimensions are 30 x 41 x 68 mm. This pushbutton switch is commonly used in industrial control panels and machinery.

These polypropylene tubes come with an attached cap that not only provides a tight, leak proof seal, it can also be effortlessly opened (or closed) with one hand.In incubation applications, we recommend that you use cap lock clips for incubation and boiling over 80˚C. When the internal pressure approaches an unsafe level, the cap partially opens, softly, in a controlled manner, releasing excess pressure, but preventing any splashing of contents. The center of cap also has a special thin “membrane” area that is designed for easy puncture and access by a syringe/needle. Once punctured, the opening is useful for venting the internal pressure caused by incubation at moderately high temperatures.
