Microcentrifuges

Microcentrifuges are specifically designed to accommodate tubes that hold less than 5.0 mL. Although benchtop centrifuges can be fitted with rotors for microtubes, microcentrifuges usually have a smaller footprint, which makes for a less-crowded work area.
As with other benchtop centrifuges, these units can be ventilated (operated without temperature controls) or refrigerated. Most are sold with a rotor, although additional alternate rotors may be available.

The MyFuge Mini centrifuge is a personal centrifuge that virtually fits in the palm of your hand. Ideal for quick spin downs of microtubes and PCR tubes, it is extremely easy to use. Simply close the lid and the rotor instantly reaches 6,000 rpm. Open the lid, and the rotor quickly decelerates to a stop for removing samples.
An increased capacity, eight-position microtube rotor is included and comes installed. Also included is a second rotor for 0.2 mL PCR tubes and strips which is stored (together with the rotor removal key) in a convenient compartment on the bottom of the centrifuge.

This microcentrifuge is small and quiet enough for personal use, but offers advanced features typical of larger benchtop centrifuges. The MyFuge 12 Mini Centrifuge removes the need of changing rotors when switching between microtubes and PCR strips. This product is sold with the COMBI-Rotor, which is all that is needed for running 12 microtubes and 4 PCR strips at the same time. The Mini Centrifuge has twice the capacity of traditional mini centrifuges and it begins and stops the operation with the opening and closing of the lid.

The first "mini" sized centrifuge with a swing out rotor for microplates. Centrifuging plates before PCR ensures all reactants are in the bottom of the wells for proper concentrations and improved yields.
In spite of its remarkably small footprint (9x10 in.), the PlateFuge includes a uniquely designed, swing out rotor (patent pending) capable of securing 2 microplates. The easily accessible rotor chamber includes two plate carriers that rest at a 75° angle. This allows plates to be inserted confidently without sealing tapes or caps. Upon closing the lid of the centrifuge, the rotor accelerates and the centrifugal force "swings" the plates into a horizontal position. Any droplets on the walls of the plate quickly concentrate into the well bottoms.
