Aluminum is economical and good for general use with noncorrosive gases and liquids. Brass is economical and good for use with water. Stainless steel withstands higher temperature and pressure and features excellent chemical compatibility. PTFE has the best chemical compatibility.

These economical flowmeters are built with a spring-retained piston for direct, accurate readings regardless of the position you mount them. A tripod base is required to use the multitube frame with the common inlet flow pattern; all other multitube frames are designed for panel and tripod mounting.
