Electron Microscopy Sciences Process/Embedding Cassettes, Blue
Disposable plastic tissue cassettes are used for holding and identifying tissue samples in processing, embedding, and sectioning procedures. The cassettes fit securely in microtome chuck adapters. They are totally resistant to histological solvents. These cassettes are designed to accept standard metal lids and will also fit either the standard stainless steel base molds or the disposable plastic ones. Made from Acetal copolymer.

Electron Microscopy Sciences Square Mesh Cassettes with Lids Packed Separate, White
Biopsy processing cassettes are similar to the slotted cassettes but have a 1 mm square mesh for small biopsies. Made from Acetyl Polymer, which is a special high density polymer that keeps specimens safely submerged in solution, these cassettes are totally resistant to most histological solvents and their slots offer maximum flow through for good fluid exchange and proper drainage.
The lids can be opened and closed as often as necessary and they always relock securely without danger of specimen loss. Large labeling areas are located on three sides of the cassette for your convenience.

Electron Microscopy Sciences Russell's Modified Zenkers Solution 1 LT
Due to the hazardous nature of mercury, Zenker's fluid is no longer available. In place we are offering Russell's Zenker Fixative, which contains Zinc Chloride. The staining results produced by this fixative are comparable to those of Zenker's Stock solution. Russell's Modified Zenker's is used in the same manner as Zenker's stock solution.
Electron Microscopy Sciences EMS Decalcifier with HCl/EDTA
EMS Decalcifier with HCl/EDTA combines acid and chelating decalcifying agents, plus a tartrate buffer for prevention of cellular swelling and distortion. This solution provides rapid decalcification, maintains excellent cellular morphology, and is suitable for all bone specimens from bone marrow biopsies and disc material (light bone) to femoral head and long bone sections (compact bone). It is not recommended for use when proteoglycan preservation in articular cartilage is important.

Technovit 3040 yellow is a fast curing methyl methacrylate-based resin, whose chemical composition warrants a firm, durable bond between Technovit and the specimen. Technovit 3040 consists of two components–powder and liquid–allowing simple mixing, easy adherance to the specimen, and fast curing. For fixing the mount, a high viscous consistency is required(i.e. a mixing ratio of approximately 2-3 parts per volume powder: 1 part per volume liquid) has proven to be the most advantageous. Includes: 1 x 1000g Technovit 3040 powder, 1 x 500 ml Technovit 3040 liquid.

Specially developed mounting medium is compatible with National Diagnostic clearing agents, HistoClear II. Omnimount combines outstanding optical characteristics with low fluororescence and exceptional durability. Omnimount is a truly universal mounting medium compatible with all common clearing agents: xylene, toluene, limonene, and petroleum derived products.
The Omnimount solvent has a higher flash point and a lower toxicity than xylene based mountants, so Omnimount provides both a safer work environment and reduce shipping costs.

Polyfin is a mixture of highly refined paraffins and co-polymer alloys in a convenient wax pellet. This unique formulation provides optimal tissue support while maintaining exceptional clarity. Our Polyfin has been institutionally tested and found to function flawlessly in pressure/vacuum fluid flow processors. Its low melting point (55 degree C) eliminates any tissue distortion caused by excessive heat during processing and has been demonstrated to have the least compression of seven popular paraffins.
