Gelacell - Aligned PLLA scaffolds fixed to cell crowns in 6-well plate for 3D cell culture (1 plate). INTRO: Gelacell, manufactured by Gelatex Technologies, is a unique, 3D microfibrous scaffold designed for advanced in vitro 3D cell culture and tissue engineering applications. DESCRIPTION: This variant of Gelacell is specially designed for medium-to-long term culture durations. Scaffolds made from pharmaceutical grade poly-L-lactide (PLLA) fibers spun in an aligned manner are fixed to cell crowns in a 6-well plate. The cell crowns act as Boyden chambers for facilitating studies related to air-liquid interface culture, co-culture, complex tissue models, etc. The optimized design ensures thermal, chemical, and mechanical stability, while also providing substantial swelling capabilities and porosity. The aligned fibers provide a structured pathway for cell orientation and growth (particularly beneficial for specialized cell cultures requiring directional tissue development).

INTRO: Gelacell, manufactured by Gelatex Technologies, is a unique, 3D microfibrous scaffold specifically engineered for advanced in vitro 3D cell culture and tissue engineering applications. DESCRIPTION: This product is a 10x10 cm scaffold sheet made from pharmaceutical grade gelatin that offers a 3D structure allowing cells to grow in a more physiologically relevant manner, promoting cell-cell interactions, tissue-like organization, and cell polarization. It can be cut into desired shape and sizes depending on experimental needs and setups. The scaffold is tailored for the cultivation of complex systems like cell microenvironments, tissue regeneration, and organoids. The optimized design of the scaffold ensures thermal, chemical, and mechanical stability, while also providing substantial swelling capabilities and porosity, allowing efficient nutrient diffusion and thus preventing cellular waste build up.

The ibidi Culture-Insert family is developed for wound healing, co-cultivation, and migration assays of adherent cells. A proprietary biocompatible adhesive is applied to the underside of the Culture-Insert which allows it to adhere to any flat, clean, and dry surface. The Culture-Insert 4 Well consists of four wells, representing the four quarters of the round Culture-Insert. The wells are separated by a wall of 500 µm. When the wells are filled with adherent cells, a cell–free gap of 500 µm is created between the adjacent wells after removing the Culture-Insert 4 Well. Additionally, a center gap of 1000 µm is created, allowing to observe the migration of all cell types at once.
