INTRO: PAN-Biotech Panserin 293S is a complete, ready to use medium for the serum-free cultivation of HEK293 cells (Human Embryonic Kidney) in suspension culture. With L-glutamine. COMPOSITION: Based on DMEM/F12 medium with additional oligopeptides (hydrolysates < 0.02% w/v), hormones and trace elements to support expression and cell growth. This product contains only traces of protein (< 0.002% w/v) and animal derived components (< 0.0003% w/v). APPLICATION: Panserin 293S is a particularly enriched medium optimized for the growth of HEK293 cells in suspension culture. Due to its defined composition, the purification of final products (recombinant proteins, viruses) from the cell culture is more convenient and economic. This product can also be applied to adapt adherent HEK293 cells into suspension.

Violet Red Bile Glucose Agar is used for the enumeration of Enterobacteriaceae in foods and is not intended for use in the diagnosis of disease or other conditions in humans.Formulated according to ISO 21528:2017 (all parts), VRBGA is a modification of Violet Red Bile Lactose Agar (NCM0089) introduced by Mossel in 1978. VRBA contains lactose which is fermented by members of the coli/ aerogenes group, this medium gives a ‘coliform’ count. The VRBGA formula modification replaces lactose with glucose. Glucose is fermented by all members of the Enterobacteriaceae thus gives a presumptive Enterobacteriaceae count. Bile salts and crystal violet are used to inhibit Gram positive and non-enteric organisms. Geldreich et al. formulated a medium to enumerate fecal coliforms (FC) using the membrane filter (m) technique without prior enrichment. Many standard method membrane filtration procedures recommend m-FC media for testing water. The American Public Health Association (APHA) specified m-FC media and incubation at 44.5 ± 0.5°C in the fecal coliform procedure and other tests. The Association of Official Analytical Chemists (AOAC) specifies m-FC Agar for detecting total coliforms and fecal coliforms in foods.
