This gene encodes a membrane protein which is involved in the increase in intracellular calcium concentration that occurs upon cell adhesion to extracellular matrix The encoded protein is also a receptor for the C-terminal cell binding domain of thrombospondin and it may play a role in membrane transport and signal transduction This gene has broad tissue distribution and is reduced in expression on Rh erythrocytes Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene

High-quality, high-viability (> 90%) CD3 Pan T cells purified from rhesus monkey (or macaque) PBMCs by magnetic selection. Highly enriched (typically > 90%) post-selection purity achieved via magnetic isolation. Used for a wide variety of safety assessment and functional assays. All orders come with an iQ Certificate of Analysis. The following donor requests can be accommodated if inventory is available: - Single or multiple donors for a particular product (SKU). Indicate number of vials from each individual donor - Donor-matched PBMCs

Diabetic Mouse Brain Microvascular Endothelial Cells from Cell Biologics are isolated from the brain of Diabetic (db/db) mice. Diabetic Mouse Brain Microvascular Endothelial Cells are grown in T25 tissue culture flasks pre-coated with gelatin-based solution for 2 min and incubated in Cell Biologics’ Culture Complete Growth Medium generally for 3-7 days. Cultures are then expanded. Prior to shipping, cells at passage 3 are detached from flasks and immediately cryopreserved in vials. Each vial contains at least 0.5×106 cells per ml. The method we use to isolate primary endothelial cells was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. These cells are pre-coated with PECAM-1 antibody, followed by the application of magnetic beads pre-coated with secondary antibody.

Primary Human Uterine Microvascular Endothelial Cells (HUtMEC) are isolated from the myometrium (middle layer of the uterine wall) from a single donor who is not pre-treated with hormones. The cells are routinely analyzed by immunofluorescent staining: they stain positive for CD31 and von Willebrand factor and negative for smooth muscle alpha-actin.During pregnancy HUtMEC propagate intensely and change their phenotype and expression pattern in response to sex steroids. This includes up-regulation of HUtMEC nitric oxide synthase activity, modulation of adhesion molecule expression, and an increase in endothelial cell survival and angiogenic activity. HUtMEC are involved in medical conditions like uterine fibroma or adeno-mysis.
