BioChain's tissue products are based on the sample repository network established following the IRB-approved ethical standard and procedures. BioChain's formalin fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissue section line encompasses a large selection of tissue sections which are suitable for immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization assays. The tissue sections are approximately 5 um thick. Each slide contains tissue from a single human tumor. Documentation of tissues' clinical histories may be available upon request. For those customers who want to perform FFPE DNA and RNA isolation, BioChain can provide tissue section slices in tubes instead of mounting them on glass slides.

Vibrio campbellii strain BB721 is a mutant derived from Vibrio campbellii strain BB120 (ATCC BAA-1116). This strain produces light; the expression of luminescence is not influenced by culture density.
ATCC Merck Pneumococcal polysaccharide powder Type 20 (d20) 2mg
Purified pneumococcal polysaccharides are manufactured by Merck & Company for small-quantity distribution by ATCC. The pneumococcal powders include those types which are components of the current 23-valent vaccine against Streptococcus pneumoniae. Each of the polysaccharide antigens used in the polyvalent vaccine is extracted and purified separately. These vaccine products can be used to assay for type-specific antibodies, research immune responses and study immunodeficiencies.

Glypican-3 (GPC3) is also known as Intestinal protein OCI-5, GTR2-2, MXR7, which belongs to the glypican family. Glypican 3 / GPC-3 is highly expressed in lung, liver and kidney. Glypican-3 inhibits the dipeptidyl peptidase activity of DPP4. Glypican-3 may be involved in the suppression/modulation of growth in the predominantly mesodermal tissues and organs, and also may play a role in the modulation of IGF2 interactions with its receptor and thereby modulate its function.

BioChain's FFPE multiple tissue panels with different types of tumors are designed for screening gene expression in multiple tumor tissues. Each tumor tissue is paired with a corresponding normal control tissue. A licensed pathologist issued a pathological diagnosis of each tumor based on examination of tissue sections. Documentation of tissues' clinical histories is available upon request. mRNA Northern blot and Western blots as well as total RNA Norterhn blot are available in identical formats.

Human placenta tissue section is included in each panel as an interpanel control for comparison between different tissue panels.
