The included cell line overexpresses ProLink-tagged EDG1 and EA-tagged β-Arrestin-2. Activation of EDG1 stimulates the recruitment of β-Arrestin-2 and produces EFC signal. Galectin-1 is a member of the beta-galactoside-binding family and is a dimeric protein of 14 kD participating in a variety of normal and pathological processes, including cancer progression. Galectin-1 can affect the proliferation of normal and malignant cells. Inhibition of cell growth is observed in a lactose-dependent manner as lower concentrations of the lectin stimulate cell proliferation. Galectin-1 may also be implicated in the induction of apoptosis of activated T cells through the binding of exogenous galectin-1 to CD45 molecules present on the surface of lymphocytes. Galectin-1, reported to be present either at the surface of cancer cells or accumulated around these cells could act as an immunological shield to protect against a T cell immune response and provide an advantage for survival.Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. The KILR PANC-1 cell pool is a stable, engineered target cell pool, which closely reflects the heterogeneous native protein expression of tumor environments, used to measure direct cell death mediated by immunooncology treatments (e.g. checkpoint modulators, bispecifics, CAR-T, etc.) via Antibody Dependent Cell-mediated Cytotoxicity (ADCC), Complement Dependent Cytotoxicity (CDC), and Antibody Dependent Cell Phagocytosis (ADCP). This product uses EFC technology. The cell pool is a heterogeneous population of PANC-1 cells that overexpress a ProLabel-tagged housekeeping gene. Upon effector cells-mediated cell lysis, ProLabel is released to the media, where EA in the detection kit produces an EFC signal proportional to the level of ProLabel released. This allows for calculation of percent lysis of the KILR cell pool. This stable cell pool is provided as two vials of cryopreserved cells.
