G protein-coupled receptor that is activated by the chemokine CCL5/RANTES. Probably coupled to heterotrimeric Gq proteins, it stimulates inositol trisphosphate production and calcium mobilization upon activation. Together with CCL5/RANTES, may play a role in neuron survival through activation of a downstream signaling pathway involving the PI3, Akt and MAP kinases. CCL5/RANTES may also regulate insulin secretion by pancreatic islet cells through activation of this receptor.

PromoCell's cryopreserved human monocyte-derived macrophages (hMDM) are convenient and easy-to-handle. Optionally, user-customizable activation of the cells can be performed.Cryopreserved human macrophages are produced from monocytes in PromoCell's well-proven M1 Macrophage Generation Media XF and are available as non-activated, fully qualified M1- (GM-CSF) polarized cells. After 9-10 days of differentiation, the M1 macrophages are cryopreserved using PromoCells's proprietary, defined and animal-free freezing medium, Cryo-SFM. Each cryo vial contains more than 1.5 million or 5 million viable cells after thawing, respectively.Our M1 Macrophages are now also available from HLA-typed donors.

Leukapheresis is performed using the Spectra Optia Apheresis System. Mononucleated cell-rich blood is continuously collected using ACD-A as an anticoagulant. This product provides no less than 5 billion total nucleated cells (TNC). TNC in our leukapheresis products are composed of, on average, 50% T cells, 20% monocytes, 10% B cells, 7% NK cells, and 3% granulocytes. Actual product volume, TNC concentration, and cell type percentages vary from collection to collection.
HLA and CMV status are available upon request. All donors undergo an in-person screening including bloodborne pathogens testing, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and HIV 1 and 2.

For transformation, simply mix DNA with cells and then spread onto solid medium − Mix & Go! The premade Mix & Go! competent cells are highly efficient (> 108 transformants/µg pUC19) and can be used for cloning, sub-cloning, PCR fragment cloning, library construction, etc.
