Also known as TSA or Trypticase Soy Agar, Tryptic Soy Agar is used for the isolation and cultivation of fastidious and nonfastidious microorganisms. This medium can be used for a wide variety of purposes including maintenance of stock cultures, plate counts and microorganism isolation of a range of specimens. It is also used for testing bacterial contaminants in cosmetics. The addition of blood can be used for the visualization of hemolytic reactions produced by various bacterial species. The addition of Tween 80 (Polysorbate 80) and/or Lecithin, is used for environmental monitoring as they inactivate disinfectant residue. Whether you need a general-purpose, nonselective media or you need added blood to facilitate a more fasitdious bacterial lawn for the detection of hemolytic reactions, we have several products to choose from. Some media are temperature sensitive and may have specific temperature and storage requirements for shipping/delivery.

Peptone Yeast Extract Broth Based Media are enriched nonselective broth used for growth & identification of anaerobic bacteria based on their biochemical features. This media is prepared, dispensed, and packaged under oxygen-free conditions to prevent the formation of oxidized products prior to use.PY Broth contains hemin & vitamin K for the recovery of fastidious organisms such as Prevotella spp and Porphyromonas spp. PRAS (Pre-reduced anaerobically sterilized) biochemicals are considered the gold standard for biochemical testing and characterization of anaerobes. mDia Phospho-Regulation Antibody Sampler Kit, ECM Biosciences
The mDia phospho-regulation antibody sampler kit can be used to detect the expression levels of mDia1, mDia2, and mDia3. In addition, the kit contains phospho-specific antibodies to detect phoshorylation of Thr-1061 on mDia2, and phosphorylation of Ser-196 in mDia3. The latter antibody detects a site that is well conserved in mDia1 (Ser-171) and mDia2 (Ser-202), so the antibody may be useful for detection of phosphorylation of these sites as well. Middlebrook 7H11 Agar is a selective and non-differential medium used for the isolation and cultivation of mycobacteria. Cohn et al. modified Middlebrook 7H10 by adding enzymatic digest of casein and determined organism growth was stimulated for fastidious strains of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The use of agar-based media for primary isolation of mycobacteria have two significant advantages. (1) They do not usually liquefy in the presence of contaminating proteolytic organisms. (2) They retain exact concentrations of added drugs because the medium is solidified with agar rather than by inspissation of the egg.
