Ginkgo’s cell free protein synthesis (CFPS) kit is an E. coli transcription/translation system optimized to produce proteins from a T7 RNA polymerase promoter. Reactions consist of a bacterial cell lysate and a reagent mix that contain all components required for protein production; the user must simply provide a DNA template that encodes the protein of interest under control of a T7 promoter. The system is easy-to-use, produces protein within a few hours, and is compatible with high-throughput liquid handling and automation platforms.
