Biotium CF640R Hydrazide
Our CF dye hydrazides are bright, extremely water-soluble and nontoxic. These properties make the dyes excellent fixable polar tracers for microinjection into cells. Hydrazides also can be used for labeling aldehyde or ketone groups, however, for this application we recommend using the more reactive CF dye aminooxy forms. CF dyes are Biotium's line of next-generation fluorescent dyes with advantages in brightness, photostability, and conjugate specificity compared to other fluorescent dyes. Far-red fluorescent CF640R dye has excitation/emission at 642/662 nm.
Biotium Eosin-5-isothiocyanate
Eosin-5-isothiocyanate is a good photosensitizer and can be used to selectively label amines. It has a quantum yield of 0.57 for singlet oxygen generation, which makes it useful for photoconversion of electron-rich materials such as diaminobenzidine (DAB) or fluorescent dyes into highly electron-dense materials for high resolution electron microscopy studies. Additionally, eosin is a good fluorescence acceptor for fluorescein (FAM), dansyl and coumarin dyes in fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET). AdipoGen 6-JOE
Chemical. CAS 82855-40-1. Formula C23H14Cl2O9. MW 505.26. JOE is a conventional fluorophore predominantly used in automated DNA sequencing. Characterized by an intermediate-wavelength spectra, high quantum yield, and low pH sensitivity in the physiological range. Has a similar absorption and emission spectra to those of rhodamine 6G. Spectral Data lambdaex 520nm, lambdaem550 nm in Buffer pH 12 lambdaex 520nm, lambdaem 548nm in DMSO. JOE possesses an absorbance ˜520 nm and emission ˜550 nm red-shifted compared to those of carboxyfluorescein FAM. The substantial difference in emission wavelengths of FAM and JOE makes them spectrally resolvable and allows simultaneous use of both dyes in multiplex assays. JOE had been applied as a fluorescent label in DNA sequencing, PCR, and LCR amplifications.

Chromeo™ P503 detects proteins and peptides by exhibiting a color change from blue to red. After binding to primary amines, it undergos a large shortwave spectral shift of more than 100nm that is visible to the naked eye. There is also a large increase in quantum yield that changes the non- or only weakly fluorescent dye into a bright fluorescent conjugate. The shift of the absorption & emission bands together with the increased fluorescence quantum yield effectively eliminates background from any unbound dye. In addition, because unbound the pyrylium dye is hydrolyzed during the labeling procedure, there is no need for purification following the simple one-step, room-temperature incubation. The labeled protein is ready to use immediately, and any possible background from the unbound dye is eliminated. Due to the unique conjugation mechanism, proteins labeled with Py-Dyes maintain their native charge and isoelectric point.
