Fluorescent Activated Cell Sorting (FACS) and Immunofluorescence (IF) staining buffer is a diluent buffer optimized for use in flow cytometry and immunofluorescence assay of viable and/or fixed cells. FACS and IF staining, washing buffer contains 1% BSA as carrier and stabilizer to reduce non-specific binding of antibodies and fluorochrome reagents to targets cells. Metabolic inhibitors and NaN3 are also included in the flow cytometry and immunofluorescence buffer to prevent patching, capping of surface antigen and bacterial growth.

3, 3’ Diaminobenzidine (DAB) is a widely used chromogen for immunohistochemical staining. Betazoid DAB Buffer is one of two components used for DAB staining. This product is intended to be used in combination with Betazoid DAB Chromogen (BDB900C) available in the Betazoid DAB Chromogen Kit (BDB2004). The color of the chromogen buffer mixture may vary from colorless to pale brown. Staining properties are not affected by the color of the chromogen buffer mixture. In some cases, antibody titers may increase as much as 2-fold using this DAB system. Betazoid DAB can be used both manually and on automated stainers.

CD117, also known as c-kit, is a member if the immunoglobin superfamily. It is a receptor tyrosine kinase that is expressed on hematopoietic progenitor cells. It binds to the c-kit ligand KITLG/SCF and has roles in cell survival and cell proliferation. Upon ligand binding, it activates a number of signaling pathways.
