This detection kit is a robust, sensitive and easy-to-use assay to determine GPCR activity through detection of intracellular cAMP levels. The HitHunter cAMP assay is intended for use with cells expressing Gαs- or Gαi-coupled GPCRs. This product uses EFC technology, and contains ED-tagged cAMP, anti-cAMP antibody, and pure EA. Upon application to a cell which contains endogenous, untagged cAMP, the anti-cAMP antibody will be sequestered by binding to this untagged cAMP, allowing for EFC between the tagged cAMP and soluble EA. This will produce a proportional level of chemiluminescent signal. This kit format is intended for Small Molecules, with a protocol written for use in a 384-well plate.
