Our bioactive Pregnant Mare Serum Gonadotropin (PMSG), also known as Equine Chorionic Gonadotropin (eCG), is a complex 43–63 kda native glycoprotein purified from the serum of pregnant mares. Formulation: Our PMSG is lyophilized with no additives. Application: Our PMSG and Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) are commonly used in superovulation protocols for the production of genetically modified laboratory animals (mouse, rat, Xenopus, pig), such as genetically engineered mouse models (GEMM) by pronuclear microinjection (transgenic mouse), targeted mutations through CRISPR-Cas9 methods, and embryonic stem (ES) cell-based gene targeting to produce "knockout" mice. PMSG is more likely to be used than other pituitary hormones due to the extended circulatory half-life (about 4 days in species other than horses).

Also known as prothrombin complex concentrate, products containing this complex often include Factor IX (antihemophilic factor B), Factor II (prothrombin), Factor X (Stuart-Prower Factor), and low levels of Factor VII (proconvertin) derived from human plasma. Many commercially available products also contain low levels of other antithrombotic proteins. For example, Kcentra (FDA) also contains the antithrombotic proteins C and S, while Bebulin VH (FDA) contains heparin. Coagulation factors are purified from pooled human plasma and subsequently sterilized and treated.

Ready-to-use lysates are especially prepared as positive controls for separation by SDS-PAGE and subsequent western blot analysis. Lysates are prepared in denaturing buffer WITHOUT dissociating agents (i.e. no 2-mercaptoethanol or dithiothreitol has been added). Heat lysate to 95° C for 5 minutes and rapidly cool. If dissociating conditions are desired, add reducing agent prior to heating. The recommended loading volume per lane is 10-20 µL depending on the size format of your gel.
