Controlled Environments Boots and Shoes
Controlled environments boots and shoes are reusable footwear designed for environments where contamination control and cleanliness are crucial, such as pharmaceutical, electronics manufacturing, biotechnology, and research laboratories. They are intended to be worn as standalone footwear and constructed from non-shedding and low-linting materials such as polyurethane (PU), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene (PE), and/or microfiber to help minimize particle generation. They are used in wet and dry environments and can be easily cleaned, sanitized, decontaminated, and/or autoclaved for reuse.
These types of boots and shoes typically feature a smooth surface and non-marking, slip-resistant molded soles.
