Description

Encapsulated System Scale‐Up Filter Capsules with ZB Series Media minimize hold‐up volume and maximize product recovery while delivering a particle‐free permeate solution for downstream processing.

  • Suitable for primary cell culture filtration or intermediate polishing applications in research and development, Process Development or manufacturing of recombinant protein drugs such as monoclonal antibodies
  • Made using cellulose fibers, diatomaceous earth and a binding resin that imparts a positive charge (quaternary amine), ZB grade media filters particles from process solutions through mechanical sieving and electrokinetic adsorption mechanisms
  • Wide range of filter pore sizes (0.1 to 4 μm) and a dual layer lenticular construction allows for optimizing filter throughput and filtrate quality
  • Scaleable single use filter portfolio enables using the same filtration platform process liquids volumes of 0.5 to 20,000 liters
  • Unique filter capsule design minimizes hold-up volume and maximizes product recovery, while reducing the need for cleaning validation; translucent plastic shell allows easy detection of the liquid level for real time monitoring of the filtration process and to minimize flush volumes
