3-D Life is the most flexible system for biomimetic hydrogel design for 3D cell cultures. It uses two polymers that form a hydrogel by covalent crosslinking at ambient temperature. The chemical reaction is non-toxic to cells and occurs rapidly, preventing cell settlement before gel is formed. The CD-Link component is a polyethylene glycol-peptide conjugate with a thiol at each end. Thiol groups on CD-Link form stable thioether bonds with thiol-reactive groups on 3-D Life polymers, resulting in formation of the gel. CD-Link can be used with 3-D Life polymers Mal-PVA, Mal-Dextran, SG-PVA and SG-Dextran. CD-Link contains a matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-cleavable peptide sequence, allowing cells to locally degrade the polymer network, if they produce the indicated MMPs. Quantity: Cat. No. L60-3: When used with polymers of the 3-D Life Hydrogel system up to 6 ml 3-D Life Hydrogel can be generated, depending on the stiffness of the gel. Manufactured in Germany by Cellendes GmbH.
