The 5' EndTag DNA/RNA Labeling Kit enables simple and uniform labeling of 5' ends of unmodified DNA, RNA or oligonucleotides. End labeling is an economical alternative to inserting labels during synthesis and is a favored method for labeling short oligonucleotides, or for applications where an internal label might interfere with hybridization or protein binding. This kit leaves 3' ends unmodified so is ideal for labeling PCR primers. Each kit is designed to perform 10 end-labeling reactions of up to 0.6 nmol of 5' ends (about 5 µg of a 25-base oligo) per reaction . It includes T4 polynucleotide kinase, 10x reaction buffer, ATPγS, precipitant, and alkaline phosphatase. It is shipped on ice.
