Acrodisc syringe filters with Supor membrane have superior performance in a variety of sterile laboratory filtration applications. The inherently hydrophilic Supor (polyethersulfone) membrane is low protein binding and provides fast filtration and high throughput.The sterile Acrodisc syringe filters are individually packaged in blister packs and sterilized using gamma irradiation to eliminate potential or harmful extractables common with other sterilization methods such as EtO.The 1.2 m pore size allows for the prefiltration of small volumes of buffers, culture media and biological solutions. The 32 mm diameter device is ideal for filtering sample volumes up to 150 mL*.* Total throughput (capacity) of a filter depends on the characteristics of the fluid being filtered, such as the extent of microbial contamination, viscosity, and particulate load.
